Important Message from the Board of Directors

Dear MSPE Members: Earlier today we accepted the resignation of our Executive Director, Shada Biabani.  Shada has accepted a position as the Executive Director of the Michigan Water Environment Association (MWEA).  Shada will remain with MSPE through next week with her last official day being April 13th. This is a critical time for MSPE as we work diligently to prepare for our annual conference coming up May 3-4^th.  We can assure you that volunteers are stepping up to ensure that this event is a first-class conference.  We are working closely with the Western Chapter to serve as our hosts for the Grand Rapids event.  The MWEA has also graciously agreed to let Shada assist with the conference preparation and attendance.  It will give us a chance to say, “thank you” and to wish her well in her new adventure. Our Personnel Committee has met to discuss the vacancy and will be working with the Board of Directors over the next few weeks and months to help find both a short and long-term solution.  I can assure you that we will invest whatever time is necessary to keep MSPE on stable footing through this transition.
